Description:
This project comprised of a 5-span super tee bridge, spanning 150m in total over Mongarlowe River and with an overall width of 12m. This contract included the full FRP component for the bridge project. The bridge was constructed approx. 7m above ground level.
Some of the components of our scope included:
  • Construction of bridge abutments, pier columns varying from 4m to 7m from GL and headstocks
  • Design and Installation and temporary propping of super tee girders
  • Design Installation of walkway to edge of deck on both sides of the bridge to accommodate installation of precast parapets
  • Construction 12m wide bridge deck with contra flow traffic lanes
  • Cast in-situ deck pours 30m long by 12m wide using a vibrating truss screed
  • Installation if precast concrete parapets
  • Construction 300m of insitu stitch pour to face of parapets
